5 Girls Ride One Of The Most Dangerous Roads In The World
A MUST Watch
Riding motorcycle, as we know, is not for everyone. Riding motorcycle under the most difficult and dangerous conditions is reserved for a select few. And when I say dangerous conditions, I don't mean riding downtown to another Starbucks in an unknown neighborhood. I mean roads that can easily kill you, or at the very least destroy you physically and/or mentally.
Adventure riding in dangerous part of the world is reserved for mostly men, and then even there aren't that many who will undertake such rides. But for 5 young women, it's almost unheard off (of course there are always my favorite female riders, Tiffany Coates and Carla King).
But that's exactly what these 5 girls, who normally live in comfort in Paris, France, did. They took an undertaking that would scare 99.99% of the biker population: they crossed world's highest and most difficult mountain range, the Himalayas (home of world's tallest mountain, Mount Everest).
The 5 girls are passionate bikers, in love with vintage motorcycles, and partaking their first real motorcycle adventure. The five girls are:
They were all equipped with video cameras, so they managed to capture their entire trip. After some skillful editing, they released a 3 episodes video of their incredible trip. And yes, it's free, so no need to worry about having to pay for the pleasure, or having to watch ads.
The narrating is in French, but they have thoughtfully suppled with English subtitles.
These are three videos you need to sit down quietly, and take your time to watch. The first episode lasts 17 minutes, the second lasts 18 and the last one is 24 minutes. The setup is nicely done with some after-action interviews, great sceneries and amazing riding. And yes, you will see their bikes (the motorcycles are all rented Royal Enfield Bullet 500 bikes, motorcycles that can take an enormous beating and still keep going) fall, crash go down ravines, etc.
It's a tribute to the girls' riding skills, adventure lust and the Royal Enfield solidity. Watching these video in the comfort of your home, you will know what hardships and live threatening adventures these girls went through. Amazing. RESPECT.
Below you will find the three episode (thanks Sasha for the tip). Have a look, you'll not be disappointed.
NOTE: The girls are now riding Triumph Bonneville motorcycles from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil into the Amazon. Guess we'll need to wait for the videos from that epic trip. |
